"The environment you fashion out of your thoughts,
your beliefs, your ideals, your philosophy is
the only climate you will ever live in."

So how do we bring a year to an end and recap, review, & reflect from all of the good and the bad that came about?
Do we truly see a new year as an end to an old? Does that passing year not follow us into the new year? Or do we blind ourselves into thinking that last year is over and now we have a clean slate to play with?
I believe we can use the new year as a starting point to progress further and to choose our paths with more thought. You learn from the passing year and you use that to enhance the coming year, but in no means is that last year dead and gone. The past is the foundation of our future and we would not be the people that we are without it.
What drives us to live and to grow? As a human being I am constantly seeking purpose and perfection of that purpose. I look at the world around me and see all of the wonders & gifts that God has given us. This beautiful planet, our freedom to choose, the ability to love, and the power to forgive, etc. Is that not alone enough to motivate you?
What is it about people that causes them to SETTLE? Whether it is a job, relationship, or just life in general? Is it human nature, which I think is a total bullshit excuse. Have we lost that EDGE, that DRIVE that has moved mankind to where it is today? We were made to LIVE and to enjoy life. It is an extremely short lived gift that will be over before you know it. Take advantage of that ONE life that you have to live!
All men die, but not all men truly live. - William Wallace, 1270-1305
