How do you live if you're ruled by your past, but how do you let go of a past that made you?

Read the above question and ask yourself; how would you answer this? There is no true or correct answer to this question. Every answer is acceptable and merits its own validity. It is a constant battle that all of us as human beings battle on a daily basis.

We were given freedom to choose and we live and die by our choices. These choices pave our pathway through life and have taken us to this very moment (currently reading today's blog entry) and into tomorrow. We will never know what is to come, but we can guide our paths by the choices that we have yet to make. These freedoms help us learn and grow (building wisdom through our experiences) and we must take full advantage of all of our past choices and use them to better ourselves as human beings. Embrace your past, learn from it, and grow!

No regrets. I guess the question would be do we make the same "mistake" again over and over, or do we learn and grow. Insanity can be defined as doing the same action over and over again, yet expecting different results.
Are there things in my past that make me cringe? Make me ashamed. Sure. But I accept them and move on, and hopefully have learned from them. And again, everything happens for a reason. All events occurred in my life to place me in the moment I am right now, and I am pretty grateful for this moment. Great friends, family, and pretty fortunate to have the things I have.
Thanks Ruben for making me tear up a little this am!

A great follow up question to the question! It's like putting a square peg in a round hole, you can keep trying and you will keep failing, until you learn to move forward and try something else. Life is constant trial and error! All we have to follow (lead us) are our experiences. Life does not come with an INSTRUCTION MANUAL!

Make the present right and the past will take care of its self.

Ruben your blog is great! It looks like you're taking care of yourself well and training hard!

Congrats on success!
