The Beginning!

Soooo, it is October 1st and I have decided that this is a perfect time to start my journey into blogging and post my training and nutrition to the public. I truly believe that October, is the beginning of the downfall for most people and by downfall I mean the Holiday Season excuses!!! In October, the amazing pumpkin pies begin to bake and of course the grotesque consumption of candy! This only gets worse within the coming months of November and December!
Personally, I have never had any real issues with falling into the holiday trap or the "Holiday Bulge," as so many affectionately call it. Yet, it still leads to some lame ass excuses and carelessness on my part and to keep myself honest I will be letting you all into what I like to call my madness or obsession.
First, I must give a little shout out to Becca and Analisa for beginning a little 7-week challenge, that has actually proved to me how much more important nutrition REALLY MATTERS! (I knew the basics and pretty much got away with murder, because of the combination of genetics that my parents gave me (thank you!)... but in the end that does not matter! What matters is taking actual control of how you feed your machine! There is a serious flaw in the American diet and that is just a whole separate issue.)
And so it begins...
6am: Swam for approx. 45 mins (20x50m laps)
9:00am:
- 5 blocks of chicken breast
- 5 blocks of sweet potato
- 5 blocks of almond butter & olive oil
1:00pm:
- 4 blocks chicken breast, feta cheese
- 4 blocks of romaine lettuce, raw broccoli, tomatoes, feta cheese, 1/2 pita
- 4 blocks guacamole, almonds
6:00pm:
9:30pm:
- 5 blocks chicken
- 4 blocks of sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, 1 cup strawberries
- 4 blocks avocado, olive oil
Approx. 17 total blocks.
I hit the gym around 6:30 to 7:45pm and worked on shoulders and abs. I have decided that Mondays and Wednesdays are strength training and non-crossfit days!
More to come...

5 French Fries is equivalent to 1 block.
